EG Wholesale opens new warehouse in Kent

 

EG Wholesale is one of 10 members of Grouptyre, the UK’s leading independent tyre wholesaler. EG Wholesale covers a wide area across the South. The opening of their new East Peckham location marks a milestone for the company as it aims to enhance its service coverage across Kent and Greater London.

 

EG Wholesale is one division of the family-run company that also owns 10 petrol stations and convenience stores, 18 vehicle repair centres and a commercial rental property business. The family-run business has been operating for over 60 years, with 3 generations of the family working together. With the opening of their new site in East Peckham, their team now exceeds 350 members of staff, and their annual turnover surpasses £80 million.

Andy Mitchell (Sales Manager) added, “The new warehouse offers customers a superior delivery service. All our customers receive a daily delivery as a minimum and most receive multiple deliveries per day. Our experienced and friendly sales team is always ready to assist, and customer service is our top priority. Our GroupLink virtual warehouse enables customers to check stock, pricing, and place orders 24/7. Our vans all have a tracking system which also ensures timing and accuracy of deliveries. We’ve already received lots of positive feedback from existing and new customers.”

 

Jack Whittemore (Purchasing Manager) said, “In addition to superior delivery service, we boast excellent product availability and competitive pricing. Our new warehouse can stock up to 100,000 tyres and offers an extensive range of tyres, including car, van, SUV, 4×4, EV and more. We stock tyres from all major manufacturers, a variety of mid-range brands, alongside Grouptyre exclusive brands iLink, Rapid and Habilead. We’re excited by the increased capacity, improved logistics and streamlined operations that our new facility provides.”

 

Nick Stevens (Wholesale Operations Manager) said, “East Peckham joins our other existing wholesale hubs in Partridge Green, Portsmouth, Bournemouth, Eastbourne, Isle of Wight, Maidstone, Strood and Canterbury. This expansion marks a significant milestone for us as it enhances the service to our Kent and Greater London customers across a vast range of tyres. The new site gives EG Wholesale increased tyre stock holding capacity and will allow for further choice of product for EG Wholesale’s customer base.”

 

EG Wholesale now operates 9 wholesale sites and offers one of the largest stocks and ranges of tyres in the south of England. Alongside tyres, the site offers additional products to its customers including valves, weights, lube, and tyre fitting equipment, all available with competitive prices and quick delivery.
